Take your Sim on a whole new adventure, across the seas, in far away lands. If you enjoyed The Sims 3 on your iPhone and iPod Touch, then you are going to love EA’s newest release, The Sims 3 World Adventures. Buy a plane ticket to famous tourist destinations around the globe and immerse yourself in a whole new culture.

Review
The Sims 3 World Adventures is a welcome addition to the popular game franchise which now offers three new destinations on top of your hometown. There are 52 new goals with 4 mini-games in this follow-up game. For those unfamiliar with The Sims 3, the game allows you full customization of your own Sim by choosing the gender, facial features, skin tone, hairstyle and so forth, as well as the added ability of outfitting your Sim from a wide variety of clothing selection. Once finished, the game will provide a quick tutorial so you may start on your new adventure.

The premise of the game is simple. First and foremost, make sure your Sim’s basic needs are met. In order to do this, you must check your Sim’s status often. This includes feeding him/her when hungry, getting enough rest when energy is running low, bathroom trips when needed, showering daily, getting out and interacting with other Sims and last but not least, having fun. In addition to these needs, your Sim will need to find a job, build a career and earn enough money to buy a ticket to France, China and Egypt. From there, you can take your Sim, take a tour of the hottest tourist spots and become friends with the locals.

Graphics on The Sims 3 World Adventures hits the mark with its attention to detail. Buildings, maps, locations have all been meticulously rendered to produce the same quality in detail as you would find on the pc version of the franchise. Background noise and music are fully adapted to the specific part of the world you’re in. You also have the added option of playing music from your own iPod collection when stumbling onto a stereo wherever you go. Controls are all done by touch, as explained by a quick instructional run through. The only exception to the touch controls would be the in-flight mini-game where you will need to use the device’s accelerometer by tilting the device to keep from getting airsick.

Recommendation
The Sims 3 World Adventures for iPhone and iPod Touch comes highly recommended to Sims fans everywhere. Never before could you take your Sim jet-setting around the world, until now. The game looks stunning, is absolutely fun, highly addicting and in some cases, educational from the brief backgrounds you are given at each of the tourist hotspot you visit. The Sims 3 World Adventures is available now at the iTunes App Store for $6.99.
