Appafolio Enables Creative Professionals, Businesses to Create Interactive iOS Portfolio Apps

Treemo Labs today announced the availability of its Appafolio iPad and iPhone app creation platform. Appafolio enables users to create unique portfolio apps and share their photos, artwork, videos, product images and business ideas with anyone who owns an iPad or iPhone. Appafolio is now available for free on the iTunes App Store.

“Turning a printed portfolio or product brochure into an interactive app will eliminate printing and distribution costs, and enable companies to make updates on the fly,” said Brent Brookler, CEO and founder, Treemo Labs. “Instead of handing out hard copies at trade shows or on sales calls, you can just point people to your app and make a much better first impression. Appafolio makes the same tools we used to develop Beyoncé’s “Live at Roseland,” The Roots “undun,” and Nirvana’s “Nevermind” apps available to anyone who wants to turn a portfolio, presentation or business overview into an app that anyone who also has Appafolio can view.”

Appafolio provides users with a platform that enables them to upload and arrange images and videos and add text. Users can create their own unique screens, titles and graphics, or choose from pre-formatted templates. Photos and graphics are cached within the app, and videos are cached to the device for offline viewing, so an active Internet connection is not needed in order to view pictures and videos after they have been downloaded to the device. Users can also create their portfolio apps using the Web-based tools at www.appafolio.com.

When the portfolio is ready to share, simply create a pass phrase that anyone who also has the Appafolio app can use to view it.

“You are able to change your photos or videos anytime, or even the look and feel of the entire app, and the updates will occur automatically,” added Brookler. “The early feedback we’ve received from users has been extremely positive, so we’re eager to see how people use it and what new features they’d like us to add.”

There is no cost to create an account and build the first app. The Appafolio service is available now, visit www.appafolio.com to sign up or download the Appafolio app from the App Store.
