Review

Drift Mania Championship is a racing/drift technique touch based control game based off of the actual drift racing scenes spreading across the globe. The tilting and turning of your screen to steer, while adjusting your speed on the throttle and using the handbrake, can seem a bit overwhelming. Once you get your rhythm down, the game is a blast. You also have the option to practice before hititng the race mode on the game. One of the unique game play features is the Hydraulic Handbrake, giving you a new way to swerve and curve through the tracks. There are 5 vehicles with exclusive specs like horsepower and torque and you can also pick from a variety of colors for you car. There are only 3 tracks in the game, but they are all pretty cool. The 3D graphics are realistic, giving you a variety of drift controls including an up-and-down throttle and a handbrake which will give you an authentic drifting experience on your device.

The steering control of tilting and turning using the accelerometer is a bit drastic and very difficult to control at first, but once you get use to it, you become a racing pro! I thought is was a little too much to try and brake, control the throttle, and steer all at once, but after a few rounds of practice it was not too bad.

The music is up to date, popular songs by Good Fight Music including songs from Conditions (Album: Fluorescent Youth) and I Am Abomination (Album: To Our Forefathers), making for a fun race. You also have the ability to listen to your own songs from your own music library

Tips

1. Play more and more to increase your overall score and be in the top 100 positions that are displayed on the official Driftmania game website.

2. Practice practice practice ! It is difficult, but so much fun!

Recommendations

Due to the real life images at the beginning of the game, I would suggest the game for more of the adult scene. Plus is it a bit tricky and hard to maneuver. Drift Mania Championship is available to purchase at the App store for 0.99.
