Netflix Throws Microsoft Another Bone, iPhone App Coming?

It would seem that Netflix and Microsoft have some kind of partnership; streaming movies from Netfix was first introduced on the PC months before MAC users got a chance. Then it hit the Xbox 360 nearly one year before Wii and Playstation users got the pleasure. Now it looks like Netflix is again throwing Microsoft’s struggling mobile market a bone. Netflix is now showing off a prototype of the first official Netflix app for Windows Phone 7 Series smartphones that will allow subscribers to view streamed movies at no extra cost.

Just two months ago Netflix was downplaying the importance of having their services on smartphones but it looks like they have changed their mind. So now, the rest of us wait until the app comes to the iPhone, Android market and BlackBerry App Store. Judging from history it could be anywhere from a few months to a year. I for one really want a Netflix app and the ability to stream videos on my phone. How about you? Share your comments below.
