If you are a power Android user and are constantly worried about how much data your device is consuming, there’s an app for that called 3G Watchdog. All you have to do is download the app through the Android Market (you can follow a barcode link here) and choose your settings (daily, weekly, monthly data, billing cycle). The app includes customizable alerts and even includes a home screen widget to let you monitor data. There’s another app called Apndroid that works with 3G Watchdog to limit your data usage and actually turn it off when you are about to break your limits. Pretty cool!

AT&T Replaces Unlimited Data Plan with 2GB/Per Month Cap, Adds Tethering Option

You didn’t think it would last, did you? I did too, but unfortunately all good things must come to an end. Effective June 7th, AT&T’s unlimited data plan for iPads and iPhones will be replaced by two other plans. DataPlus ($15/mo.), the entry level plan provides 200mb of data, while DataPro ($25/mo.), the premium-level plan restricts you to a 2GB data cap.
