Our friends at Appchatter have created a how to for using Gmail Push Notification with Yahoo! mail on the iPhone. There are some applications in the app store that offer an alternative push notification delivery service but they’ve been unsuccessful. Push notifications will soon be available for Google’s Gmail on the Apple iPhone, through the use of an application called GPush. Once approved from Apple, GPush will use Push Notification technology launched with the iPhone’s new 3.0 software that will send a pop up message each time you receive a new email.

The popular social networking website, Facebook, is finally releasing an update to their iPhone application which needed to be updated for some time now. The current version is loaded with bugs, crashes often, and sometimes does not update all of the current statuses which can be quite frustrating. This new update is “98% complete” says Joe at Facebook, and includes the all of the following but does not include push notifications which are expected in a 3.1 update later this summer:
