Verizon Drops Price of Palm Pre to $30 on Contract

It looks likes Verizon does not have fate with HP and Palm. Verizon is offering a Palm Plus Pre for just $30 as long as you sign a two-year contract. This price is the same as Big Red’s Pixi Plus and has a very large price margin between Sprint and AT&T.

Pre owners on the O2 network in Europe can now get their latest webOS updated to webOS 1.3.5.2. German-language tech site, Heise Mobil, reports that Palm has enabled bluetooth tethering as part of webOS 1.3.5.2.

Just a few days ago, we reported about the webOS Internals delivering a port of DOOM for the Palm Pre, utilizing the SDL library found in webOS 1.3.5. Next up in the round of 3D shooters utilizing the SDL library is Quake. The developer still has some work to do before it’s released, but as you can see from the video below, it’s pretty impressive.
