San Francisco, California – Just one week after its release, Catalog Spree, a brand new catalog shopping experience for the iPad, has risen to a Top Ten Free Lifestyle Application in Apple’s iTunes App Store. Catalog Spree has also registered remarkable consumer engagement, with over one million catalog page views and an average shopper visit time exceeding 20 minutes. To celebrate, Catalog Spree will host its first demonstration for the general public in San Francisco at the upcoming Gdgt Live show, to be held Friday, May 6 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. PDT at the Metreon Shopping Center. Tickets are free and can be reserved by using the link below. Stop by the Catalog Spree booth for a chance to win a $200 gift card to a Catalog Spree retailer – and get your photo snapped with Ms. Spree.

Today’s free app is FastMall by Mindsmack. FastMall is an interactive app that allows you to find, and then be guided turn by turn to restrooms, stores and restaurants at shopping malls around the USA, Canada and Europe. One cool thing about this app is it does not use GPS so you don’t have to worry about keeping a good signal in side buildings. At the mall and need to find a restroom quick, with this app open and a shake of your iPhone or Touch and you will be provided with turn by turn directions. It also has a part to help you remember where you parked your car. This app will also help you find strollers, wheelchairs and elevators all to help you get around quicker and easier at the mall. Only draw back I can see is there is a pretty limited amount of malls. See the list below for a current list of supported malls.
