Kisaragi-no-Hogyoku is a digital novel for the iPhone released by a developer called Waitingforyouguys. The app offers a Japanese anime style and includes multimedia like music and cutscenes with different images on top of the text.You can currently grab it on the App Store for iPhone at a cost of $1.99.

Yokohama based Nagaraja Rivers has announced the release of Speak Japanese Fun Phrasebook 1.0 for iOS. It is is an easy to use talking phrasebook app for the Japanese language. Each phrase is displayed in large sized Japanese script, phonetic transliteration, and English translation. For each phrase there is audio recorded by a native Japanese speaker using a nice, clear voice. You can hear the audio for each phrase from a native Japanese speaker. There are over 500 words and phrases.

Dublin, Ireland – Wukomi Media have released a universal iPhone and iPad app ‘Dr. Moku’s Hiragana Mnemonics’ which teaches basic Japanese by using humorous or easily remembered associations for every symbol in the Japanese Hiragana alphabet. The apps feature audio, two different learning modes and three different quiz levels. The free LITE version has all the features of full version except that it teaches a limited number of symbols.
