BeSoft today announces Taxi INT 1.2.1 for iOS, an update to their app that lists more than 1,200 taxi companies throughout the world. Constantly expanding, the database currently includes 15 different countries and more than 100 major cities. In addition to phone numbers and auto-dial, many listings include additional information, such as fares to points of interest and airports. BeSoft is currently developing a multi-lingual website where taxi companies can add themselves to the database.

Just like what happened with the U.S. pre-orders, if you wait too long to place your order, you face the possibility of ship dates getting pushed further back. Although the international release of the iPad isn’t until next week, access to the International App Store was made available today. iPadevice, an Italian website, has posted some screenshots and have reported that the store seems to be working, showing new apps and ratings, however the bookstore remains unfinished.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but, if you live outside the U.S., you will have to wait another month to get your hands on an iPad.
