Javier Gonzalez today released Loch Doom 1.3 for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. This is another gripping story from Spanish novelist, Javier Gonzalez. Users are treated to mystery and intrigue, along with a bit of humor in this tale of four school children who are lost in a storm and end up discovering a hidden secret then attempting to save a village and their own lives. The application includes book marks, several font selections, quick switching between all pages and more.

This week at QuakeCon 2010, John Carmack (creator of huge titles such as Quake, Wolfenstein 3D and Doom) showed off a demo of RAGE on an iPhone 4 at a brilliant 60 frames per second refresh ratio… amazing. Carmack even states that it “runs great on an original 2G iPhone” which speaks volumes considering the lack of power for the old iDevice. The game is said to be available in the App Store sometime this Fall.
