According to Victor Castroll, an analyst with Valcent Financial Apple sold 51,000 iPads in its first two hours of sales. Castroll had predicted before sales were open that Apple would be selling approximately 20,000 iPads per hour. The number of iPads sold is based on two sales made within 30 minutes of each other that had order numbers 10,000 numbers apart.
