Apple is reportedly taking a closer look into battery issues affecting owners using iPhone OS 3.1. The company’s AppleCare division has reached out to customers in an effort to figure out what’s causing the decreased battery life. Apple’s support forums are filled with complaints of poor battery life. Those taking part in the feedback program are being provided with a “Battery Life Logging” configuration profile for their iPhone. The data is then being transmitted to Apple via iTunes in an attempt to figure out the cause of the issue.
