Apple Looks Into iPhone 3.1 Users Reporting Poor Battery Life

Apple is reportedly taking a closer look into battery issues affecting owners using iPhone OS 3.1. The company’s AppleCare division has reached out to customers in an effort to figure out what’s causing the decreased battery life. Apple’s support forums are filled with complaints of poor battery life. Those taking part in the feedback program are being provided with a “Battery Life Logging” configuration profile for their iPhone. The data is then being transmitted to Apple via iTunes in an attempt to figure out the cause of the issue.Read More
Apple Releases iPhone OS 3.1 Beta Update

Apple has released their 3rd beta version (build 7C116a) of the 3.0 iPhone OS to developers this afternoon. Details about the update are scarce but it is believed to support video API’s including augmented reality applications and other bug fixes. If you’re an application developer you can gain access to 3.1 beta 3 by visiting developer.apple.com/iphone. Note you must have an iPhone with an OS version 2.1 or greater.Read More
