A St. Patrick’s Day update is coming to Angry Birds Seasons for iPhone and iPad. Rovio has released a gameplay trailer of the upcoming St. Patty’s update complete with new levels, green pigs and pots of gold. No release date was provided, however based on the previous Valentine’s Day update being released a week prior to the 14th, we can safely assume that this update will be here any day now.

AT&T iPad Owners with ‘Grandfathered’ Unlimited Data Plans Can Transfer Plan to iPad 2

According to Engadget, AT&T has confirmed that existing iPad 3G owners with ‘grandfathered’ unlimited data plans will be able to transfer it over to the new iPad 2. When the iPad 3G was first released in April 2010, AT&T offered the unlimited data plan for $29.99. In less than two months time, AT&T discontinued the unlimited plan, replacing it instead with 2GB a month cap for $25. Those who signed up for the unlimited plan prior to the change were grandfathered in.

Apple is currently under negotiations with major music labels to allow owners who have previously purchased music from iTunes to download their purchases as often as they want. Apple is said to be working with Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group Corp., and EMI Group Ltd. to make this a reality.

Best Buy, Sams Club and Walmart, Expected to Sell iPad 2 at Launch

According to 9to5Mac, Best Buy, Sams Club and Walmart are all expected to have the iPad 2 for sale at their locations on launch day, March 11th. This is good news indeed, since Apple had decided not to take any pre-orders for the new device. Let’s just hope they have enough iPad 2 units to go around!

Great news, basketball fans! This year, iPhone and iPad owners will be able to watch the March Madness NCAA college basketball tournament for free. CBS and Time Warner’s Turner have announced they will split up broadcast and digital rights to the tournament and offer free streaming of all the games to iOS devices. CBS provided streaming last year to iPhones as a paid app for $10. The iPad was not available at that time.
