Managing a network of over 32 million users is not an easy task. Toss in the largest global weather network for both the consumer and professional with over 8,000 weather stations and cameras, and you’ve got a ton of data being shared. A company by the name of WeatherBug delivers those results to more than 12 million unique mobile device users and offer geo location based API’s to access that data.

Anyone that looks at the App Store today is simply blown away by the amount of developers that exist in the community. The expansion of over 225,000 applications within a few years is simply amazing, something that has not been experienced in any other industry. Many developers focus on gaming and utility applications catered towards specific users but a company by the name of ISBX is entering the mobile applications octagon, tackling apps at the enterprise level to improve workplace efficiency and increase communications.

For thousands of years, books have been used as a way to transcribe historical events, thoughts, stories, and images onto paper (and various other materials) for reading at a later time. Flash forward to modern day history beginning in the 1970′s, books have made their way onto an electronic format dubbed “e-Book” to be used on “e-Readers”. The two most common e-reader devices used today are Amazon’s Kindle and Apple’s iPad, however the iPad offers additional experiences that are changing the way both children and adults are reading books.

This is typically handled by the use of API’s, short for application programming interface’s, that allows developers to interact with different types of software.
