Motorola officially introduced the Motorola i1, their first push-to-talk Android powered device which is set to join the Sprint network. The i1 boasts a 3.1-inch HVGA (320 x 480) touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and 4x zoom, WiFi, and microSD expansion. No specific date of the i1′s launch date or pricing has been given, however, the according to the release, Sprint will be offering the device this summer.
Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus Set to Join AT&T

Palm just made it official. Palm’s Pre Plus and Pixi Plus will soon be joining the AT&T Network. According to the press release, the Palm Pre Plus will cost $149.99 and the Pixi Plus, $49.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate. The statement, however, did not disclose as to when these devices will be made available for public consumption. Stay with us and we’ll let you know as more news develops.

Sprint just announced that the Android-powered, Nexus One device will soon be coming to their network. This is quite significant because with this addition, the Google device will be available on all four major networks: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and soon-to-be-carrier, Sprint.
Motorola Cliq XT Available Now for $129, Not $99 as Previously Reported

Contrary to an earlier report given by TMoToday, the Motoblur running, Android-powered, full touchscreen, Motorola Cliq XT launched on St. Patrick’s Day at T-Mobile was priced at $129, not $99. We’re pretty sure there were people that were letdown by the $30 increase, but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t going to stop them from making that purchase.

T-Mobile will be launching the Motorola Cliq XT on March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day. You should be able to go any T-Mobile retail store to find the Motoblur running, Android powered full touchscreen Motorola Cliq XT. It’ll cost $99 with new 2-year contract (or $199 with 1-year contract) which is a great bargain for a brand new smartphone.
iPad Accessories Facing Delays

Apple has pushed back the ship date on some of the iPad accessories over the past few days, prompting fears of supply chain issues. The iPad case has been knocked back to from April 3 to mid-April; the iPad keyboard dock and spare power adaptor have been bumped from late-April to May. The SD card adaptor isn’t in the Apple store as of yet.
iPad Sales Drop After First Day of Pre-Orders

Following the report by AAPL Sanity Board of 120,000 pre-orders on the first day, they also believe that sales dropped dramatically after the first day. They calculate pre-orders as clocking in at around 1,000 per hour on Saturday and Sunday which is a huge difference from the 25,000 an hour reported when the orders first began. The group estimates are based on a sample of 120 orders for 137 iPads over the course of 39 hours. Over 72 hours, they’re pegging the orders (not counting in-store pickups) as 152,000, with a probably half-million by launch.

Apple just confirmed that it will begin accepting online pre-orders for the iPad at 5:30 a.m. Pacific Time/8:30 a.m. Eastern Time tomorrow. According to Apple’s prior announcement, U.S. customers will be able to pre-order both the Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + 3G models of the device, or reserve a Wi-Fi-only model for pick up at an Apple retail store. Apple will officially launch the Wi-Fi-only version of the iPad in the U.S. on Saturday, April 3, with Wi-Fi + 3G models expected to ship in late April.

According to a new Stanford University survey, the Apple iPhone can be addicting. The survey was given to 200 students with iPhones of which 70 percent had owned their iPhones for only less than a year. The iPhone became an indispensable part of the students’ lifestyles and many openly acknowledged they would be lost without it.

ChangeWave Survey Says, More e-Readers Prefer the iPad

According to the latest report coming from a ChangeWave survey, consumers looking to purchase an e-Reader within the next 90 days are more likely to buy an iPad than an Amazon Kindle. 40% of those respondents said they would purchase an iPad with 28% opting for the Amazon Kindle, 6% for the Barnes & Noble Nook, and only 1% who said they planned to purchase a Sony Reader.

It’s official folks! Apple just announced that iPad sales will begin on Saturday, April 3rd. WiFi only models will be available at first, with WiFi + 3G becoming available in late April. Pre-orders will be taken by Apple starting on March 12th.
