Teen May Face Legal Troubles For Selling White iPhone Kits Online

Lei Lam, a 17-year-old New Yorker, may soon see the inside of the court room for selling white iPhone kits online over the last six months. According to The New York Observer, Lam had been ordering genuine white iPhone 4 parts from a source at Foxconn, which he puts together as a kit to allow people with black iPhones to convert them to white. His sales have earned him $130,000 which he states has helped him pay for college. His business however, may soon come to an end.

According to a PreCentral source, Sprint’s flagship device, the Palm Pre has received the EOL (End of Life) marking. Sprint stuck by their device for as long as they could, however it never really took off the way they hoped it would.

Eric Schmidt, Chairman and CEO of Google, was seen showing off what appears to be a a Nexus S, the successor to the Nexus One, running on T-Mobile at the Web 2.0 summit yesterday. The Nexus S is reported to have NFC features which will make it possible for users to tap their phone and use it as a credit card.
Analyst Claims iPad 4th Quarter Sales Estimates Too High

iPad sales estimates may be a bit over exaggerated this holiday season. This is what Ashok Kumar, an analyst for Rodman & Renshaw, believes. Wall Street expects Apple to sell around 6 million iPads in the 4th quarter, however, because it is not a ‘must-have’ product, he projects the figure is roughly closer to the 5 million mark. Ping Makes an Appearance on the iPad

The iPad’s iTunes app now includes Ping, Apple’s new music social network. Ping allows you to follow your favorite artists/friends and see what music they’re listening to. Ping on your iPad now appears on its own tab in between TV Shows and Podcasts with features similar to those found in the computer version of the application.

Gorillaz co-creator Damon Albarn loves his iPad so much that he decided to use the device to record their next album, a follow-up to Plastic Beach. Albarn states, ” I’ve made it on an iPad – I hope I’ll be making the first record on an iPad and adds, “I’ve made a completely different kind of record.” The band plans on releasing the album around the holiday season.
