Audio Footnote Review for iPhone and iPod Touch
Like most people that listen to such things, I enjoy having audio books and podcasts on my iphone for the long commute to and from work. If I hear something interesting that I’d like to go back to later, I’m at the mercy of my memory. That pesky driving keeps me from taking notes, and finding that one sound bite again is nearly impossible. Audio Footnote is an app I didn’t even realize I needed, but it’s just for situations like this.Read More

I’m not much of a musician. I have a piano that’s dusted more often than it’s played, and a mandolin on which I can strum no more than three chords. Still, I love music and harbor fantasies of writing the next big single. SongSketch is just the app to help me with that lofty goal.Read More

Speed Forge Extreme for iPhone and iPod Touch
I know I made fun of the whole “Spaceships racing around a track” thing in a recent review, but I think I’m going to have to take it all back now that I’ve played Speed Forge Extreme, the new space age racing game from Chillingo. In an attempt to give the game some context, there’s a story in the game description, about the colonization of Mars in 2142, and bored miners looking for entertainment, so I guess it makes a little sense.Read More

Low Grav Racer 2 Review for iPhone and iPod Touch
Rocket ships on racetracks don’t really make sense to me. Wouldn’t they race in open space? Apparently not, according to Cobra Mobile, developers of the recently released Low Grav Racer 2. Instead they follow a decidedly terrestrial, fixed, roller coaster-like track.Read More

Upon seeing scenes from the highly-anticipated RPG Ravensword for the first time my reaction was a very simple, “Wow!” A collaboration between developers Russ Menapace, of Human Powered Games and Josh Presseisen, of Crescent Moon Games, and released by Chillingo, Ravensword is beautiful and epic, although not without a few shortcomings.Read More

Skater Nation Review for iPhone and iPod Touch
I have three brothers that were all skaters and surfers, and there were many, many attempts to teach me how to skateboard and surf, but somehow that gene skipped me, and only they possessed it. I cannot skate, and that has extended to my attempts at skateboard games. It’s so disappointing, because Skater Nation looks like a whole lot of kick-ass fun. So I’m going to do my best with this review, even though I just spent hours falling off my virtual skateboard. ReviewRead More
