Original Garfield Mobile Game and Trailer Announced
Mobile game company Pixowl continues its acceleration of IP development via a new partnership with Paws, Inc., Jim Davis’ company that owns Garfield, one of the most beloved and enduring comic icons. Pixowl will develop an original simulation mobile game featuring Garfield for iOS and Android.
Founded by mobile industry innovators, Pixowl concepts, develops and publishes mobile games that blend comic book art and character-driven storylines. The company’s most recent title, Grub, featuring the lead character, has been downloaded over 2M times in less than one month.
The new Garfield game will feature an original storyline reflective of Garfield’s intense passion for food and will feature many of the beloved characters from the Garfield universe. Players will be challenged to help the famous fat cat as he struggles against the constraints of a forced diet.

Pixowl will publish the new Garfield mobile game in third quarter of 2014. The game’s development is being led by acclaimed French comic artist Laurel.
