Apple iPhone 3G S Pre-Orders Sell Out, Palm Pre Sets Sprint Sales Records

iPhone3GS and Palm PreAT&T are reporting that pre-orders for the new Apple iPhone 3G S are now completely sold out. Any orders placed after June 13th will not be available when the phone launches late this week, June 19th and instead will be shipped one to two weeks after the launch date. Benefit? You still don’t have to wait in a ridiculous line at either store.

If you are one of those people, doors will open at 8:00AM on June 19th. The phone will also be sold at Best Buy and Wal Mart making availability easier (yeah right).

For Palm fans, Sprint set new sales records last weekend with the launch of the Palm Pre at over 100,000 units. Sprint President and CEO Dan Hesse commented about the leap in sales:

“Sprint is a very different company than it was 12 months ago. Palm Pre is the coming out party for the new Sprint. It is the perfect device that highlights all of the positive changes in our company, including our revolutionary Ready Now retail store experience, greatly improved customer care, unmatched value pricing plans and America’s most dependable 3G network.”

Hopefully that first wind of sales has not fallen to the new iPhone 3GS, expected to launch this Friday. Reported by Hot Hardware.
