Apple Introduces Two New iPhones, iOS 7 Coming September 18th

iPhone-5S-3-colors-640x695Today, Apple unveiled two new iPhones, the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C. The iPhone 5S, the pricier and more technologically advanced of the two will come in 3 different colors – gray, silver and gold with double the processor speed of the iPhone 5, improved camera and a new fingerprint sensor that will serve to unlock the phone and enable iTunes purchases by just your fingerprint alone. The iPhone 5C, the cheaper model, starting at $99 with a contract, will come in 5 colors – green, pink, yellow, blue and white.

iPhone 5S

iPhone 5C

  • new FaceTime camera – better in low light situations
  • $99 for the 16GB model with contract
  • $199 for the 32GB model with contract
  • support for a wide array of LTE bands
  • available in five colors – green, blue, white, red and yellow
  • steel-reinforced, polycarbonate construction
  • Pre-orders begin September 13
  • On sale on September 20th

In today’s keynote address, Apple also provided us with the release date of the much anticipated iOS 7 update which will be on Wednesday, September 18th. The update will support the iPhone 4 and later, fifth-generation iPod, iPad 2, iPad with Retina Display, and iPad mini.
