pogo contestTen One Design, creator of the world’s first capacitive touch screen stylus, invites digital artists worldwide to submit their creative masterpieces and enter the Pogo Art Contest. This competitive art challenge offers Pogo stylus fans the chance to win up to $1,000 in cash and prizes. July 1 through August 31, 2013, entrants can upload their Pogo-created artwork to be considered for one of five potential winning titles.

“Pogo Connect, Pogo Sketch Plus and Pogo Sketch Pro offer rich, creative possibilities, and we love seeing what our users are capable of,” says Ten One Design Co-founder Peter Skinner. “We can’t wait to see the unique digital artwork fans can create with our Pogo styluses.”

Judged by a team of three seasoned mobile artists and Pogo users themselves, one grand prize winner will be chosen based on overall artwork, in addition to four category winners who will be selected based on the following criteria:

Current Events
Satirical or thoughtful explorations of world events, politicians, daily news and journalistic expressions

Wildly Creative
Thinking outside the box, pioneering digital artwork that has never been seen before, using an application not intended for drawing purposes, application mashing with multiple programs in a unique way or even collaborating with multiple artists

The Way You See It
Realistic, impressionist and representational artwork of a person, place or thing

Obviously Abstract
Nonrepresentational interpretations of reality, exploring forms, space, depth and colors

Ten One Design’s Pogo Art Contest will be judged by three renowned digital artists who are Pogo users themselves and have established a cult-like online following. Ten One design handpicked Susan Murtaugh, Corliss Blakely and Benjamin Rabe based on their experience, passion and artistic talent.

In order to be considered, submissions must include the piece’s title, which Pogo stylus and device were used, as well as any application(s) the artwork was created with. For digital artists who do not yet own a Pogo stylus, Ten One Design is running an Art Contest Sale now through July 1, 2013, when the contest opens. The Pogo Sketch is available for 30 percent off ($10.49), the Pogo Sketch Pro for 20 percent off ($19.95), and the Pogo Connect for 10 percent off ($71.95).

Pogo Art Contest sponsors include Procreate, Paper by FiftyThree, Inspire Pro and SketchBook Pro, applications that help unleash the creative possibilities of digital art.
