plattanIntroducing Re:Plattan – the fourth headphone to be launched under the Urbanears Editions line of headphones. Re:Plattan is available at select Urbanears retailers worldwide and online at Urbanears.com starting today for $80.

Urbanears Editions are special models with a little something extra. The Re:Plattan uses a lot extra in the form of unused parts from previous collections. These leftover parts come together to form one colorful patchwork pair of headphones. In addition, each Re:Plattan comes with the GPS coordinates of five square meters of rainforest in Costa Rica that’s protected with purchase, because we like jaguars too.

How It Works
Each Pax has a personal ID that comes with GPS coordinates. Trace your Pax by going to getpax.com/urbanears and using the personal ID printed on the hand tag.

Did You Know?
Every five square meters of saved vegetation contains about 500 kilograms of CO2 – that means one Pax stops approximately half a ton of carbon dioxide that never reaches the atmosphere, contributing to a more stable climate. On those five square meters, you can find approximately 500 ants, 10 flowers, 5 spiders, 2 butterflies, 5 shrubs, trees, monkeys, birds, frogs and maybe even a jaguar – if you’re lucky.

You can fold it down to the size of your fist for maximum mobility. Plattan also comes with a ZoundPlug on the earcap, allowing for a friend to plug in and enjoy your music.
