Toobz Review for iPhone and iPod Touch

Toobz for iPhoneAvailable for both the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, Toobz is a very challenging, fast puzzle game where you must create a network of “toobz” and allow the water to flow before the clock runs out.

Review

Developed by Off Center Software, Toobz is a sophisticated fast paced puzzle game that challenges the user to create a unique system of “toobz” or pipes that does not leak before time runs out.

Gameplay for Toobz requires a quick reaction time and planning skill. The object of the game centers around a randomly placed starting point where the water flows and you are required to create essentially an irrigation system. As you complete levels and advance further your time for building a system becomes less and less requiring you to think much faster.

There are two game modes available: classic and show where the upcoming piece is displayed (similar to Tetris) or the next four are displayed. There are four difficulty levels as well including a free play mode without a timer at all.

Graphics and animations for Toobz are simple but look good and were enhanced with their 1.2 version update. Controls are also easy to use, providing just simple taps to place your pipes. There are no sound effects or sound track in the current version.

Overall, Toobz is an easy to play, challenging puzzle game available for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch that uses creativity, planning and a quick reaction time to provide hours of fun.

Recommendation

I recommend Toobz to users of all ages, especially puzzle fans. Toobz sells for $0.99 but there is a free version as well.
