Cupertino, California – Gamers in search of a fun, exciting and super-addictive new word game app for their iPad that will have them playing late into the evening – or sometimes all through the night – can now download Word Trip from Pleiades Apps (pronounced “play-at-ease”).

Word Trip challenges gamers to create as many three to eight-letter words as possible before time runs out. Along the way, they can boost their score by adding “Power Ups” to certain letters, and unleash amazing solar objects that sail through the sky. The higher their score, the more they’ll see – such as a beautiful lunar eclipse at the 100,000 point mark, and other enhanced graphics that makes it very rewarding to keep playing and playing. Plus, gamers can connect and compete with others via the Game Center, and stamp their name on 24 achievement goals.

Word Trip challenges gamers to create words, boost their score and reveal amazing solar objects. “Many word game-type apps get boring after a while, and there’s really no incentive to keep playing and getting higher and higher scores,” commented Martin Bateson of Pleiades Apps. “But that’s where Word Trip is totally different! As their skill and score increases, gamers will see amazing objects and graphics, like a lunar eclipse and so much more. So instead of getting bored and heading back to the App Store to download yet another app, gamers who try Word Trip will find that it delivers endless hours of entertainment and just keeps getting better and better!”
