Velocomp LLP, www.iBikeDash.com, a leading sports technology company and makers of the iBike line of power meters and iBike Dash line of cycling computers, announced today that it has won Communication Arts Magazine’s 18th Annual Interactive Award for its innovative iBike Coach App. Awarded in the Information Design category, the iBike Coach app transforms your iPhone into an amazing GPS-based bike computer, tracking cycling speed, distance, and time, with social media features, videos, and maps, and one button access to music and phone features!

iBike Coach App Won Among 1,194 Entries

Announced in the March/April 2012 issue, the iBike Coach App was selected for the Communication Arts Magazine’s 18th Annual Interactive Award from a group of 1,194 entries. Winners were selected by a distinguished jury, who judged web sites, kiosks, CD-ROM projects and mobile devices, giving out only 35 awards, making the Interactive Annual Awards the most exclusive major interactive competition in the world.

“We are honored to be selected by Communication Arts Magazine for this prestigious award for the iBike Coach app,” said John Hamann, CEO of Velocomp. “Cyclists naturally expect that their cycling computer information will always be correct, and iPhone users expect ease of use and full access to all features of their iPhones, whenever they want. With the iBike Coach app, both of these critical expectations are met. And with sharp and colorful screens, simple setup procedures, and fun features, such as music control, the iBike Coach app makes bicycling more enjoyable.”

The iBike Coach App is available immediately for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore. The app works with the iBike Coach, iBike Dash CC, iBike Dash CC Deluxe, and iBike Dash + Power (sold separately). iBike products are available at the Apple Retail Stores, the Apple Online Store, Target stores, www.ibikedash.com, and at local bicycle retail shops.
