AniEmoticons Review for iPhone

AniEmoticons is a new iPhone app that should come in handy for any of you who want to add some flair into your messages. The app allows you to send a wide range and variety of emoticons from your iPhone and send them to friends via e-mail.

Review

Emoticons are a great way to make friends or family smile. They can be described as small icons or smiley faces that you can send out along with text messages. You can think of them as allowing you to actually show a smiley face — rather than having to type :). However, what makes them great is that they offer way more emotions than any pure text could convey. They could show how you really feel. An example of this would include an icon showing a crying face. How would you be able to convey that in text paddy just a simple :(? You couldn’t to the same extend as an image could and that’s why emoticons are so useful for messaging.

There is now an iPhone app that allows you to e-mail theses emotions — ranging from smiles, cries, and a wide range of other moods — to friends. The app is called AniEmoticons and it is currently available on thee App Store for $.99. From the menu you can create an e-mail message and combine it with text. You can add multiple of these icons in a single message as well.

However, there is no spell check feature from the app itself. Once it prompts the actual e-mail to show, and not just the main icon and text window, you can correct spelling if you have the feature selected in settings. That’s my main downside with it. The other small gripe is that you can’t create your own icons to use, but must choose from a list. However, the list of icons is very wide with many to choose from.

The app also has an integrated instant messaging services available to install (as a separate app) that is integrated with the available emoticons.

Recommendation
AniEmoticons is recommended for anyone who enjoys communicating with others via e-mail messages. It also offers it’s own instant messaging app to go along with emoticons.
