Say It & Mail It is an iPhone app that allows you to record a voice memo and send to to someone via email. That’s it’s basic function but it has a few other tricks that make it a useful alternative to the built in voice memo app on the iPhone.

If you are always sending the memo to one person (such as yourself or your secretary) you can touch the info button to assign an email address and name to send your memo to automatically. If you leave this blank, when you go to send your voice memo, you get the option to send it to anyone in your address book, just like sending a regular email.

If you have any groups of contacts set up you also get an option to send the memo to everyone in that group. Maybe it’s to a client list or everyone on your staff.

You also have the option to attach a picture, either from your photo album, or take a new one from within the app.

The last feature is the ability to add your GPS coordinates to the email. The recipient will receive a link to Google maps.

All of these features work well and are easy to use. The interface is good looking and simple. You don’t fumble wondering what you need to do. Memos are sent in as a .wmv file.

Tips

1. Use it to remember where you parked, take a pic and use the GPS coordinates to send yourself a reminder.

I would recommend Say It & Mail It to anyone looking for this type of functionality. It does what is says it will and does it easily and quickly. It sells for $2.99 and is available through the App Store right now.
