Sulake, the parent company of Habbo Hotel, the world’s largest social game and online community for teenagers at 10 million monthly unique users, today announced the release of gaming app Niko for iOS devices. Niko will be available January 19th for Apple® iPhone® (3GS, 4 and 4S), iPad®, iPad® 2 and on iPod touch®. Niko is a freemium game that is free to download and play for the first six levels. The full game, with three versatile worlds and 28 total levels can be unlocked for £1.49.

Niko is an exciting adventure game app that combines genius sling shot action and amazing platform level designs. A rare and inspiring creature, Niko needs help to rescue his friends who have been captured in a mysterious Otherworld. As Niko races through challenging game levels, he dodges traps, flips over monsters, and collects achievements on his way to saving all his friends.

While designed to appeal to a broad iOS customer base, Niko also includes direct tie-ins to Habbo Hotel, giving Habbo members extra benefits and value, while bringing them back to the online community to share their experiences. Sulake first tested a Habbo tie-in with Lost Monkey, which was released in September 2011 for iOS devices and is now available for Android as well. Users who finished the game received a special reward for their Habbo Hotel account. A similar, but more complex tie-in has been implemented inside Niko as well for the players to explore.
