drahtwerk today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of the iScreen 2.0 software update. iScreen is a true productivity booster by turning any iOS device into an additional monitor that can be used wirelessly with any Mac setup.

The development of iScreen originally started as an in-house productivity tool earlier this year. Due to its superior performance and reliability compared to similar applications the developers decided to turn iScreen into a polished product. The key reasons for iScreen’s great performance are the combination of both TCP and UDP networking protocols and a dynamic video compression algorithm that adjusts its content based compression.

The iScreen 2.0 software update adds support for Apple’s latest operating system Lion as well as support for the previous generation PowerPC macs. Other features in this update include improved performance, multi-touch scrolling, a built-in online FAQ and more.

Update:
* OS X Lion Support
* PowerPC Support
* Multi-touch scrolling
* Improved performance
* Manual connection by hostname or IP address
* Built-in FAQ
* Slow Network indicator can be disabled

iScreen is available for iPhone and iPad at the App Store for $4.99.
