iPad 2 Specs Unveiled from Apple Event

The specs have been unveiled for the coming Apple tablet as has the release date by Engadget’s live bloggers.

The tablet will be released in just a hairs time, on March 11 starting at $499. It will have the expected dual cameras but with software to back them up as well.

“Apple’s launching iOS 4.3 alongside the new iPad and bringing with it much improved Safari performance as well as FaceTime, Photo Booth, iMovie and GarageBand (the latter two costing $4.99 a piece) apps specifically for the newly camera-enriched iPad.”

According to Engadget, video recording will be better on the rear camera at 720p.

In terms of specs, the new tablet will have a 1GHz dual-core A5 CPU, 10-hour battery life, HDMI output, and a thinner design. No word on the memory yet.

In terms of visuals and gaming additions, graphic performance is reported to be “up to nine times better than on the original iPad.”

    that is so cool i really want to get it now they said that it is even thinner than the iphone 4
