There’s a patrol coming! Quick, take cover! This is a quick glimpse as Craneball Studios’ places you behind enemy lines in their upcoming release, 33rd Division for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Overview
33rd Division is a line-drawing tactical game with a WW2 setting. Your mission is to guide each allied soldier, medic or sergeant that appears on the screen by drawing a path for them so they may successfully cross enemy checkpoints without being detected. Once your soldier is within the enemy’s field of vision, you will be shot on sight! Each troop member moves at a different rate of speed. Soldiers move at normal speed, medics at fast speed and Sergeants who move the slowest.
In order to avoid being killed, you have several options at your disposal. You may redraw your soldier’s path, you may hit the deck and stay on the prone position until the patrol has passed (this action is initiated by double tapping your soldier), and/or by collecting power ups that appear along the way. Power ups can be anything from invisibility, double speed, enemy freeze, bonus points, etc. Reaching certain scores will unlock the next mission.
There are two game modes of play, Time and Life modes. In Time mode, which is the harder of the two missions, you are given 30 seconds to get as many soldiers to their destination as quickly as possible and are rewarded with 10 seconds added on the clock for each successful crossing. In Life mode, you have 5 lives to lose before it’s game over for you and your mission.
The difference between other line-drawing games such as Flight Control and 33rd Division is that you don’t need to have more than one soldier appear on the screen at the same time. Once a soldier is killed or have made it past the enemy, another soldier will appear on screen.

My ipod device 1G is a primary iPod, Personal digital assistant and a whole lot more, plus has also been day that I purchased it. It still work on the most recent iPod system software, and any app I might need it to operate. I’m using it to post this remark right this moment. I would say it is really a lot more in comparison with just an “excellent hobbyist system” — it’s an excellent iPod
