Error 100 Thwarting New Users in the Mac App Store

Since the Mac App Store opened on Thursday morning, some new users have been thwarted from downloading apps by the following error message: “We could not complete your App Store request. An unknown error occurred (100).” You are then provided further “details”: “There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later.” If this has happened to you, should you simply wait another ten or fifteen minutes, and if it doesn’t work, wait another hour or even a day? No. The fix is simple….

Here’s what you should try:
1. Sign out of the Mac App Store, then sign back in again. If this doesn’t work, proceed to the next step.
2. Sign out, then quit and restart the Mac App Store, and sign back in.
3. If none of the above have worked, restart your entire mac.

The Mac App Store should then present you with new Terms & Conditions for you to agree on. Once you have done this, you’ll be able to download apps without issues.

Do note the error message only appears when a new user tries to download apps.

    I was having the error pop up even when I did step one & two. Restarting my computer was the only thing that worked. Thanks for the info
