ActiveTrak Releases Major Update to GadgetTrak for iOS Device Tracking

Portland, Oregon – ActiveTrak Inc. has released a major update to their GadgetTrak for iOS app. New features include background processing and tamper-proofing.

“Apple has made some major changes in what can be done with the iOS,” said Ian Schray, GadgetTrak Product Manager. “This has allowed us to do some really great things with location tracking on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.”

Since its original release in 2008, GadgetTrak iOS has been downloaded more than 750,000 times.

New features of GadgetTrak for iOS 2.0 include:
* Background processing: Keep GadgetTrak running in the background and it will check in with the device’s location every ten minutes. Even if the app is manually quit, it will still register that a major location change has occurred.
* Tamper-proof: Set a passcode to keep people from using or changing the settings of the app.
* Tracking console: Use MobileSafari to keep track of other iOS devices, as well as laptops.
* iPad support: GadgetTrak iOS 2 is a Universal app, and is optimized for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch.

Pricing and Availability:
GadgetTrak iOS 2 is available today for an introductory price of $0.99 (USD). This is a one-time fee and will cover as many iOS devices as are attached to a single iTunes account. GadgetTrak iOS 2 is also available as a free upgrade to previous users. Regular pricing will be $3.99. Additionally, a public beta of GadgetTrak for Android and BlackBerry is available from GadgetTrak online.
