Symbol6 Redux Review for iPhone and iPod Touch
Are you looking for a game your entire family can play? Symbol6 Redux by Gogogic ehf is a casual game that kids can participate in and learn to match colors and patterns. At the same time, the game also caters to adults and more advanced players with more challenging difficulty levels.
Symbol6 Redux is a casual matching game in which you’ve got to match up to seven colored shapes that fill a hexagon. With a difficulty mode specially catered to kids, Symbol6 Redux is also an excellent educational game for children.
The game contains a large hexagon made up of seven smaller hexagons of differing colors and symbols. Similar colored hexagons will move in from different directions. Your objective is to shift the matching tile within the large hexagon to the side that the approaching one is moving toward. All you have to do is tap the tile you wish to shift and tap again at the spot you wish to move it to. While it may seem easy at first, more and more tiles will move in at an increasing speed. Occasionally, a special glowing amber tile will turn all the tiles within the hexagon gray, and you’ll have to match the tiles by just their symbols. At other times, the white symbols on the colored tiles will fade, forcing you to focus more on the colors.
Symbol6 Redux has a simple design with easy controls. Other than tapping tiles to swap them, you can also turn the hexagon. You may do this by sliding your fingers along two side bars. Alternatively, you can switch to an accelerometer control within the game settings. Although the game can get repetitive, the pace ramps up to make it increasingly challenging, and thus addictive. When the tiles are moving in fast, it won’t seem so easy any more. Try it to find out!
Symbol6 Redux, a casual matching game, is currently available for free in the App Store. It is especially recommended as an educational game for children. Download it now while it’s still free!
