Infinity Blade Is The Fastest Grossing App Ever

In case you’ve been living under a rock lately, Infinity Blade was released last Thursday where we reviewed the game on Wednesday and gave away promo codes. Now just 4 days later, Infinity Blade by Epic Games has become the fastest grossing app ever in the App Store.

According to Apple’s Game Center, as of this evening (Dec 12) there are 271,424 users that have played Infinity Blade. The app sells for $5.99 large. At those figures, the app has generated $1,625,829.76 in sales in just 4 days. The previous record was set by Cut the Rope with over $1 million in 10 days.

Congrats goes out to Epic Games and Chair Entertainment Group. Of course, having Apple preview your game during a press event watched by millions helps fuel the PR side a little bit.

Btw, the lead image is when I defeated the God King on level 17 and 5 bloodlines. I left the other spoiler alert images out.

Update Dec 13: Epic’s own Mark Rein has tweeted about our post, stating sales are actually higher than our reported numbers, which backs the fact that Infinity Blade is the fastest grossing app to date in the App Store.
