New York, NY – BreakThru Radio is pleased to announce the relaunch of its 5-year-running website on November 22nd. Along with a complete aesthetic overhaul, BreakThru Radio will be integrating a multimedia platform idea that is completely unique from its competitors. Original podcasts, editorial content, and HD video will work hand-in-hand to bring the BTR audience a complete multimedia experience covering each topic in multiple interesting ways. All of this, while still sticking to its original mantra to find and present the best new, independent, and undiscovered music from across the globe.

BreakThru Radio’s new HD video and editorial platform will not only be groundbreaking in the way that each element works together but in the content which is produced. Music is at the core of the station but BTR is also interested in exploring topics that their listeners find interesting. Unlike traditional music websites BTR will not be focusing strictly on album and show reviews (though those will still be found on the site as well). The new focus of the multimedia packages will be on current events, political debates, and cultural awareness. Theme weeks will be offered and cover topics ranging from Internet privacy to an in depth look into the way communication has evolved. Although, theme week topics may not directly imply a musical connection, look to BTR’s talented editorial staff to use their skills to tie in the unexpected.

Also new to BTR, is BreakThru Television, which will be unveiling five original video series featuring new episodes airing each day of the week. Building on its mission to provide listeners with great, independent music across multiple genres, BTR’s videos will feature an exclusive, inside look at music and beyond.

Included in the new video series is, Live Studio: An intimate glimpse of bands and artists performing their latest songs in the studio. Hear & There: Watch, as fresh acts play live in unusual locations. And Pulse: A show where BTR breaks out of the music mold to engage with today’s most pressing issues. These five new video series presented by BTR will offer original content integrated with the site’s existing panoply of DJ shows, editorials, and playlists.

The new website will make for a full-fledged multimedia destination. With new videos shot in High Definition, BTR visitors can now see the best up-and-coming music they’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else, and with a clarity like never before. BreakThru Radio: it’s truly Radio Rediscovered.

Live Studio:
For years, BTR has brought the hottest breaking musicians into the studio for a private and intimate performance just for our listeners. Now, Live Studio takes a giant leap forward into the world of HD video. Listen to new music in the same format you’ve grown to love, presented in a way you’ve never seen before. Come on in to BTR’s very own Live Studio Mondays on the new BreakThru Radio.

Pulse:
The city’s heartbeat is out there pumping oxygen into the Who, What, When, Where and Why of everyday life. It is these issues that drive the most interesting, newsworthy, and often most controversial topics that we tackle each week on Pulse. Taking to the street, we give ordinary people a chance to sound off and be heard. From politics and health, and privacy to communication, we’ve got our finger on the Pulse of today’s topics. Check it out on Tuesdays on the new BreakThru Radio.

Hear & There:
Everyone knows the best way to enjoy music is to experience it live. This is exactly why BTR is dedicated to bringing you a brand new episode of Hear & There each weak on breakthruradio. On Hear & There, the BTR video team will serve up original and dynamic performances, shot in unique and creative locations, all in beautiful HD video. You couldn’t be there, so let BTR take you there. Hear & There is on Wednesdays on the BreakThru Radio.

Live Studio Scraps:
Last night, as we closed shop after editing Live Studio, a treasure trove of amazing moments and footage that just didn’t make the cut was uncovered accidentally. But we know you deserve the best, so we’re serving up seconds. Live Studio Scraps will show you some of the best of the cuts, so we hope you saved a little room for more. Live Studio Scraps can be seen Thursdays on BreakThru Radio.

Dubway Days:
What do you get when you put musicians in a state-of-the-art studio and tell them they can’t leave until they’ve written a song? Pure inspiration. BreakThru Radio presents Dubway Days, a documentary-style series that pits up-and-coming singer-songwriter Ben Arthur with a different musical act each month. Dubway Studios, an original and revealing look at the creative process, promises to be one of New York’s finest shows on music production.
