Jim Balsillie, Research In Motion co-CEO, doesn’t have the same “there’s an app for that” mentality as Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, has. At the Web 2.0 Summit this week, he stated, “You don’t need an app for the Web,”and adds, “I don’t need a YouTube app to go to YouTube. There’s this view that Web sites need to be re-purposed for mobile and you need a special set of tools to do it. We don’t believe that to be true.”

Perhaps, this was just a attempt to get back at Apple, when Steve Jobs pointed out the sale of 14.1 million iPhones at the last earnings call, surpassing RIM’s BlackBerry sales.
