So you just picked up your iPhone 4 or 4th generation iPod Touch but don’t know how to use FaceTime. The following guide will show you how to use FaceTime on your new iDevice.

In order to use FaceTime, you must have iOS version 4.1 or later to place or receive calls on an iPhone 4 or 4th gen iPod Touch. Users must be connected to WiFi in order to place or receive calls. To find out how to place calls over a 3G connection, click here.

For iPhone 4 users, you can place a FaceTime call by tapping the FaceTime icon while on a phone call or search the contacts list and find the FaceTime icon.

For 4th generation iPod Touch users, you can place a call after being connected to WiFi through the contacts list, and find the FaceTime icon.

That’s it!
