Steve Jobs Calls Developer to Discuss Rejected iPad App

Ram Arumugam submitted his iPad app, Economy for iPad, to the App Store for approval but was promptly rejected due to his use of private API’s to fix a bug he found with the iPad’s OS’ keyboard controls. From his frustration, he e-mailed the founder of Apple and received a surprise two hours later.

Steve Jobs called the developer and suggested the removal of the offending code. Arumugam complied, resubmitted the app and received the approval he was looking for. Economy for iPad currently stands as the top financial app in the App Store.

How’s that for personal service?
