Hot RadarIf you have problems approaching other people at parties and are too shy to just go up to talk to them, then Hot Radar is the answer for you. WARNING: RESULTS NOT GUARANTEED, MAY MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT.

Review

Hot Radar is an all exclusive attention grabbing application that makes a loud, fast pinging noise that lets you know when you are getting closer to your target. This is where your intended target asks either “What’s that?” or says “What the hell are you doing, get away from me”.

You have the option to search for both men and women, as well as with beer goggles although I didn’t find any difference between searching normally or with goggles. The app uses the iPhone’s accelerometer by tilting the phone up for a slow ping or down for a loud obnoxious ping. Graphics and animations are smooth, although very plain.

Overall, Hot Radar is one of those apps that utilizes technology in a very weird way and makes you wish you hadn’t paid the $0.99 cents for. If the app were free I may cut it some slack, but overall when you’re paying for an application you expect it to do something a little more than ping and make yourself look like an idiot.

Tips

1. Don’t use this app as a pick-up line. You will expect an epic fail if you try to use this app on anyone other than a fellow iPhone enthusiast.

2. Watch out for old women. Just in case you do decide to use this app anywhere else, watch out for old women as the application just might work.

Recommendation

I recommend this application to anyone who doesn’t care about their reputation or are desperately trying to find a place to spend a dollar. Hot Radar sells for $0.99. They also have another application called Pirate Booty if you feel like searching for a piece of booty.
