IP-SWS_270x269Are there any die-hard iPhone racing sim fans amongst us? If so, then you need to read on cause we may have just found the accessory for you. It’s called the CTA Digital Steering Wheel for iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch.

The CTA Digital Steering Wheel is basically a plastic shell that snaps onto your iPhone, iPhone 3GS, or first- or second-generation iPod Touch that makes the devices feel like a small steering wheel. Its design does not block the screen, so you can still access all the virtual buttons for braking, nitro, and such. CTA offers two versions of the wheel, one with a suction cup mount, so you can place it on top of a table or any hard surface and one without.

It’s not a bad idea, considering it would feel like a you’re actually driving. Maybe with the CTA Digital Steering Wheel, I can finally pass the advanced stages of the Fast and Furious or Asphalt 4 games I’ve been having such a hard time with.

The price has not been posted on CTA’s web site, but expect the iPhone wheel to be priced similarly to the company’s $19.99 steering wheel for the Wii.

Check out the CTA Steering Wheel in action.

ehhh I don't think ill spend my money on this….I think it's a little corny. Why would somoene spen their money on this when the iPhone already has a GREAT accelerometer?!

Thats really over kill. @Bcoot, it still uses your iPhone`s accelerometer for inputs. It just holds your iPhone steady and makes it look like you are using a steering wheel. No point in such a product.
