Review
Meow Meow Happy Fight is the story of how Happy Cat saved us all from a blissful future. It is a dual-stick shooter for the iPhone and iPod Touch packed with a variety of playable characters and adorable art design. The giant Happy Cat has traveled back in time from the year 2336 AD, where everything is too happy, to bring happiness and destruction to the city’s inhabitants! Using dual controls to shoot and move around the area, eviscerating the enemies to move on to your next victims.
The movements are fluid and like your character is rolling in a ball. Meow Meow is a very Anime, Japanese cartoon style game. There are 12 power ups and 15 un-lockable characters which even include silly things like a “cat ball”, a cup of noodles, and a vending machine. Meow Meow Happy Fight has complete OpenFeint integration. The professional character design, stunning backgrounds and attractive Japanese music all add to the game’s appeal. The dual controls which are maneuvered with both thumbs, is a bit tricky, and personally not very appealing to me. I am sure there is a demographic for the game and type of gameplay, but it is tricky to get the hang of.
The variety of levels and challenges will make you want to learn how to play faster , better and stronger. Overall a fun game, something colorful and fun when you need to pass the time.
Tips
1. Pick up the sushi and candy after defeating an opponent.
2. Keep an eye out for power up rolling around to rejuvenate your health.
Recommendations
Meow Meow Happy Fight will be available to purchase at the App Store on August 5th. This is a game for those who get the hang of the dual controls quickly, but something everyone could give a good to play.
