The story of Yogo the Turtle, is one of the hallowed rock that offers energy for Yogo’s turtle village, that has been stolen by bizarre visitors. Help Yogo as the daring turtle goes on a heroic expedition to recover the rock and save his home, by Digi Talented games.

Review

Yogo the Turtle is so enjoyable and is down right beautiful! You need to help Yogo as he races against the clock through various worlds trying to make it to the top! You can get a leg up on things by purchasing fun, useful upgrades within the game. Be careful however as the upgrades cost time.

You can travel across 8 different worlds that come in the variety of volcanoes, ice lands, deserts and more. The game is put together with stunning graphics as well as an interactive setting of collapsing platforms, slippery ice, and blazing hot spinners that Yogo has to either steer clear of or use sensibly to get to the destination.

Yogo is a 3D model which makes the game easy to control, with simple tap and slide movements with the occasional tilt reaction used. The music and sounds are simple and well orchestrated with the game.

All in all the is simple and is basically using logic, timing your jumps, looking out for foes and trying to accumulate all the fruit you can in order to  progress through the levels. OpenFeint integration also lets you  battle with other players from around the globe.

Tips

1. Pick up all the fruit that you can find spread around through the levels. Their revitalizing attributes give you more time to finish the levels.

2. Avoid your enemies. These foes can come in the form of bees to penguins, fireballs and even helicopters.

Recommendations

Yogo the Turtle is available through the App store for only $0.99. This one for all ages, and a great game to play! It is colorful, simple, yet challenging and engaging.
