The Cracked Reader Review for iPhone and iPod Touch
“If you like Cracked.com, own a mobile device and want to appear more attractive to the opposite sex, this is the app you’ve been waiting for.” Well, that’s according to Cracked anyway, but I tend to agree…
Review
The Cracked Reader is a simple reader app for the very funny website, cracked.com. This app offers up some cool functions and features and makes keeping up on your cracked news a breeze. There are four main sections of this app, let’s explore them shall we.
The first section is called Recents, I have a very sneaky suspicion they named it that because all of the articles are pretty recent and at the top it does say, “What’s New” but who knows I could be wrong. They are organized very well, picture to the right, brief intro to the left. If you choose to read more of the story, you simply tap the preview and walla you are reading the full article. You can also share with your buds pretty easy from the app via email, facebook and twitter. The next section is called Featured; in here, this is where the five Editors put all their favorite articles.
The next section is Craptions, this is my favorite section. This is where you can find all the crappy photos that have captions, most of them are funny. The final section is called video, I could not for the life of me figure out what this section was all about, something to do with playing videos that may or may not be funny I don’t know but if you figure it out please post a comment below.
While testing this app it worked well and I had little to no issues with it connecting to articles, pictures or video and seem to be an all around well-put together app and an outstanding solution to getting the latest and greatest from cracked.com
Recommendation
