iMainGo2 Portable Speaker Case Review for iPhone and iPod Touch
After spending a few days with the iMainGo2, I can without any doubt say that I am truly amazed at what it can do. Even though it is small, it projects great sound around the room making music sound better and your gaming experiences more fruitful!
Review
The iMainGo2 is a portable speaker that actually houses a case inside of it so that you can blast your tunes anywhere that you go: at home, on the train, in the plane (I recommend not to there), and other places. Everyone knows that the iPhone and iPod Touch speakers are measly and cannot be heard over loud voices, so that’s where the iMainGo2 comes in handy!
Once you open up the clothed device by unzipping the zipper, you will find an opening for your iPod or iPhone to go into there. Once done, you can connect the cable provided to your device, flick up the switch to the “Music” setting, and start playing your music. The whole thing also serves as a case (a rather bulky one) as it has foam cushioning, and a velcro strap inside to ensure that your device doesn’t go tumbling to its death.
While the device itself is a bit small compared to other speakers, the music quality is not what you would think it would be. Instead of being all scratchy and unclear, the iMainGo2 makes your music, first of all, louder, and second of all, clearer. The speakers are amazing, and can easily compare to those of an average household receiver as they also can reproduce bass.
I do have to criticize the quality of the material that the device is made out of. After only a few days, and use only in my house, the seams have started to let go of their strings, and the plastic outer coating have started to crack. It’s not that big of a deal, but enough to be noticed.
All the iMainGo2 needs to fully function is four AAA batteries which are included in the standard package. Once you have these in you can be listening to your music for hours and hours on end without worrying about the battery dying.
I used the speaker of course for music, but also for gaming. Some games have a great soundtrack that plays in the background, and this makes the gaming experience so much better. I wish I had an iPhone 4 because combining it’s retina display capabilities and the iMainGo2′s sound capabilities would be the best experience ever!
The iMainGo2 has been raved about in many media sources, and now it’s my turn. The speakers truly are wonderful, the sound quality produced is better than some types of receivers or famous on-ear headphones, and it serves as a protective case for your device. It is compatible with most MP3 players, and all iPods (except the shuffle), so boundaries are not an issue if you want to play music using a different media player.
So if you’re looking for the best sound quality, bass reproduction, or value, the iMainGo2 is what you need!
Recommendation
The standard speakers on the iPhone and iPod Touch are average, so why not take it to the next level? You can with the iMainGo2 for only $39.95, and every cent is worth it!
