Line drawing games can get boring when they’re played in excess amounts. That’s not the result for the game, Super 7 by No Monkeys where you have to create sums or products that equal 7!

Review

Super 7 is a line-drawing game that incorporates a somewhat educational element into fun gameplay. The main object of the game is to create sums or products that equal 7 using numbers ranging from 1 to 6 and other powerup sort of items.

Many different numbers will flood the screen almost as soon as you get into the game making it significantly more fast paced and challenging than other line drawing games. The catch is that no number can equal more than 7 or you’ll have to restart the game or in other words, it’s game over.

You are awarded points every time you create a 7 which puts you against other players around the world, locally, or against yourself using OpenFeint leaderboards. Every time two things are combined together, the shapes will morph into one and get bigger. You can size bonuses if you’re combination is a large object on the screen. That’s why there are other things rather than only numbers. Other objects that affect the outcome of a combination include: a 2X which multiplies a number by two, -1′s that can be combined with other of the same kind to create a larger – effect or to any number which could help you or hurt you depending on what other numbers are on the screen, and a star which automatically makes any number a 7.

Like other line drawing games, drawing a line on the screen controls everything. Multiple items can be combined with one line so that you can cut back on the havoc that will soon start attacking you once you start the game.

Along with the leaderboards provided to you by OpenFeint, 17 achievements are unlockable. They are all difficult to unlock to a certain point, so I mostly aim on being awarded only one during a game.

The artwork is actually very admirable as the game is a rather simple one with only 1 game mode and not many gameplay objects. I like the semi intense but hyping background music that really gets you in a competitive mood and makes you hit the “Retry” button every single time you mess up.

Everything requires a minimum amount of math skills, so if you’ve forgotten how to add or multiply, you better brush up on your skills! Super 7 is a totally addicting game that uses math and creates something that’s fun factor is too high for any other game to compare to!

Tips

All the math skills needed are adding and multiplying 1 digit numbers, so just brush up on those if you aren’t too good at them and you should be fine!

Recommendation

There’s no question for a debate on whether to purchase the game or not. It’s an ultimate buy, and you’ll see once you get it why I think of it so highly!
