mobileNavigator for iPhoneNavigon AG, the leading innovator in the navigation market, recently released its MobileNavigator software for North America for the iPhone. Now till August 15, the application is available for $69.99, after which time the price will go up to $99.99.

MobileNavigator, unlike AT&T’s Navigator application, does not require a monthly subscription. This is a one time fee and the maps are built-in; no more waiting for downloads.

It transforms any iPhone equipped with iPhone OS 3.0 into a complete navigation device. It includes many of NAVIGON’s signature features such as turn-by-turn directions, voice assistance, Reality View Pro, Lane Assistant Pro, Speed Assistant and Day & Night Mode.

NAVIGON has also implemented typical iPhone functions into its application such as an automatic switch between portrait and landscape view.

MobileNavigator is the first on-board iPhone navigation system launched by a major navigation company. While everyone eagerly awaits to see what TomTom comes out with, why not give this one a try.
