i-Gun Ultimate puts a completely new meaning to the phrase app arsenal. Tons of different weapons, earn cash, blast targets away and even play different soundtracks while you do it all.

Review

Before we get started, you must know that i-Gun Ultimate is more than just a simulator gun game they have packed so many features and options to this app it’s amazing. When you first enter the app, you are presented with two menu screens. The first is the “store” where you can use your earned or purchased i-Gun cash to buy upgrades and new weapons. The cash needed to do this can be purchase or earned. Upgrades include unlimited ammo or even a silencer, more options are unlocked as you play the game.

The second menu is where all the action is. From here, you are first given the choice of what mode you want to play in. The first mode is Free Style; within in Free Style you can choose any of the weapons you have access to and just shoot with no other purpose then to hear the realistic bullet sounds, shells flying out and smoke filling the air. Alternatively, if you want to test out your skills you can enter the shooting range. From here, you select a weapon and then hold it as if you were holding a real gun. Extend your forearms and aim, the bullet holes will then show up on the target when you pull the phone back to look. You are allowed only 10 bullets when doing this so steady your aim and make those shots count.

The second section is where you select what weapon you want to use, you have two different categories to choose from. The first is Original and then RS for reduced size. There are a total of ten guns in the original section that range from Beretta 9mm to and old flintlock pistol and of course come crazy cool full auto machine guns. The RS section offers ten guns but only seven unlocked in the beginning. The range of weapons in this section is crazy you get access to everything from pistols to flamethrowers.

You also have an options menu that has access to change the gun to lefty and you can also change the sound effects to include objects, enemies, animals and monsters. The next is the music section from here you can choose between fourteen different soundtracks with a wide variety of choices. This app performed flawlessly and I found no bugs nor did I have and difficulty using the app or its controls. As you can see from the screenshots below the graphics are outstanding and not just the graphics of the guns themselves but the fire that comes out the barrel, the shells that fly out the slide and the smoke that fills the air. The sounds match up perfectly and I recommend maxing your volume for the best experience.

I will be honest when I first saw this app it looked cool but once I got inside and saw all that is offered I was utterly shocked at the amount of value this app had due to its contents. This app has also had eleven updates with more planned. If you purchase this app, don’t forget to download the free promo pack to unlock more weapons.

Recommendation

i-Gun Ultimate is currently $0.99 in the app store and comes very highly recommended to anyone who is looking for a gun simulator app. There is also a free lite version available.
