InAWorld Drama puts the power of making your very own movie trailers into your hands. Utilizing the voice of Jonathan Cook the famous voice guy that has done thousands of trailers. This app is another shining example of what makes the iPhone so cool.
Review
InAWorld Drama is something new for the iPhone; with this app, you can actually create your own movie trailers. Using the famous voice of Jonathan Cook this app takes you step by step to make your very own trailer. You first start out creating a title, and then you choose a font. Now you will get to choose how you want to start with phrases like “In a world of corporate greed” or “In a world of dorm rooms & community toilets”. Once you have selected your “In a world” you have the option to add a picture, either by taking one or adding one from your photo library. The next step is adding a character with phrases like “One Man”, “One high school student” or one of the other 55 options in this section. Next is the “Situation” followed by the “Switch” and then comes the “Plot”. After this, you have a few more sections to complete like the “Lesson” and the “Wrap up”. After you have your story you add a tag like “Coming this Spring” or “Just in time for Kwanzaa”, of course you will also get to add a soundtrack then rate your movie and you are ready to play the trailer.
The entire process of making a trailer only takes a few minutes but is an absolute blast. This app is one I will be showing fellow iPhone and iTouch owners for a while. There are so many different options that you really have an endless possibility different movie trailers you can make. When you are finished and it’s time to play, it really plays just like a real trailer. Your clip starts out with the rating then the voice starts and if you added photos it adds them at the right time and displays them in a dramatic manner to add to the effect of the trailer. If you finish a trailer and want to edit there is a nice little section that will allow you to go back and change any stage of the trailer from adding or removing photos to changing the movie name anything else in any of the stages.
Once you have made your masterpiece, it’s time to show the world and they did a wonderful job making sure everyone can see your work even if they don’t have an iPhone or iPod Touch. You will be able to send an email that contains three links one for a non-app owning users to download a free player for their device the next is for app owners to play it and save it to their library and the last is for PC and Mac owners to play it on their computers.
This app also has a library that will allow you to save your trailers or those made by others and sent to you. From here you can also edit and share them. They even have parental controls that can be enabled if need be.
Recommendation
InAWorld Drama is currently $1.99 but that is a sale price(price will go up to $2.99 soon). This app comes highly recommended to movie fans or to be honest anyone with an iPhone. I have been having a blast playing with this app making my own trailers and sending them to friends to watch. One friend made the comment today after seeing this app “That’s it I am getting a iPod Touch” so it’s safe to say this app is worth the asking price and will provide tons of fun entertainment for less than $2.
